Another Baptism and I'm a storm chaser now

Hey Everybody!
This week has been pretty good.

To start off... Tuesday we went shopping and got all of our goodies for the week. After we got home.. we called people to set up appointments for the week. We were scheduled to see 10 year old "K" about her upcoming baptism..but they had to cancel. So we set it up for Wednesday. So instead we stayed home and studied for "K"'s baptism.During the night we were looking at the USA storm map to see what was going on...and I saw the huge storm up in South Dakota...and I predicted a tornado an hour before they put out a tornado warning...it was so cool....I'm pretty much a storm chaser now. lol

So I set up an appointment to get my knee x-rayed on July 2nd. Its up by Tampa so I had to call Sister Hall about leaving our boundaries.  I am wearing a brace all the time but I should be using crutches...but I suck using them so I don't. I do ice it all the time. It sucks.

Anyway...Wednesday we got to teach "K"...she was super ready for her baptism on Saturday and her dad didn't know he could baptize her... He was so happy when he found out that he could. Later we went to Stroye's and taught his step daughter "C" and she is a great kid. She is also  10 yrs old and she somewhat likes to learn about the church. We did have a date set for her baptism on the13th of July and she is getting pretty excited about it. After that we went and saw"H & T" and hung out with them a bit.

Thursday we had district meeting and I gave a training on Companionship Unity which went pretty good. Me and Elder Weston went to 4 Rivers Steakhouse after to celebrate.. lol. We tried to set up more appointments that night.

Friday we had weekly planning which we planned like crazy to have everything work the best it can for this coming week. We pretty much just studied and hung out.. lol.

Saturday we got up and went to work on the Baptismal program for "K". Then at about 1:30 we got to the church and filled the font. W had her interview at 3:00 and the baptism was at 4:00. It went really well.. it was such a great time and there were tons of people who came to support her. It was great!!

Later when we got home... we saw two different couples moving in... so we helped them out from about 5:30 to 10:00. It was great.. but I just held the doors open..lol :(
"H &T" called and wanted to go to Jeremiahs Ice... so we did. Then we got home and just went to bed we were so tired...lol

Sunday we got up and we were so tired it was pretty funny. Church was great though. Kendall got confirmed and it was just a good day! That night we had the worldwide broadcast by the Church. It was really good. If you didn't see it.. go watch it.  There are now 70,300 missionaries out!! That is just AMA-ZA-ZING!! After the broadcast I got my package finally!!! It went to the Zone Leaders then they gave it to the Valencia South Area (they are in my district) then they gave it to me. I should have got it on Thursday...But the Valencia South guys forgot about it.. lol. But MOM... the package was SUPER awesome! Thanks! I loved it.

That was our week.. I hope your week was awesome!! Let me know sometime. I love you guys

TWO Baptisms and a Lightning Bolt!!

Hey Everybody!
Happy Fathers Day (yesterday) to all the Dads!
This week has been up and down

Monday we all played soccer at the college.. I just sat there getting sunburned.. lol. Afterwards me and Elder Weston shopped and got ice cream... because we had to wait for Elder Jeppson and Elder Buckmiller... they were our ride home. Later we went over to "H & T"'s house and went over the Baptismal questions.

(PDAY...show me the way to the weight room? wha???)

Tuesday it was a zone conference which was awesome and sad at the same time...it was President and Sister Halls departing testimonies. It was awesome. The coolest thing happened. As soon as President Hall got to the pulpit... a lightning bolt hit the lightning rod on the church! It was crazy. I got a picture hugging the him.. it was cool! That night we went on exchanges and Elder Meza came with me.

 (Zone Conference)

 (hugging Pres. Hall)

Wednesday was fun... we studied a lot and went to the park next to our apartment. Elder Meza caught a duck...lol. We contacted a few people there. Later we went to the church with "H & T" to do their baptismal interview and they
passed :)  After that we exchanged back.

Thursday we really didn't do much... my knee is still working on being healed UGH!!!!!!!!!!! I should find out this week if I will need surgery or not. Its been so hard. Later that night our Bishop took us to dinner and to see a few people. Then we went home and studied and cleaned.

Friday we didn't do much until in the evening. We went to "H & T"s and filled out the baptismal forms and stuff like that.

Saturday was the big day!! It was funny too cuz we were going over all the plans... and we still had to make the program.. so we hurried and did that. And then we went to the church to fill up the font... it takes 2 hours to fill and the baptism was at 4 and we got there about 2:45... so we got pitchers and buckets to fill it faster. We got so lucky to fill it in time... lol. It was funny. A lot of people showed up and "H &T" couldn't stop smiling and crying. It was so amazing to baptize them... I was so happy...
I felt so good the whole day! :D It was such a great experience and I will never forget that... ever
After the baptism they took us to Outback and that place is good!

(H & T's Baptism)

Sunday was great! "H & T" were about to be confirmed.. and the guy that was going to confirm "H" wasn't there yet. So Elder Weston got to do it... and "T" was next. It went great. They are so awesome!! Later when we got home...we didn't do much and our dinner appointment canceled on us....so we just decided to go to the park. Stroye & his wife came to the park as well and we fed the ducks and turtles. That was cool.

Today was transfers.. and lots of people are moving around. Me and Elder Weston are staying here in Winter Park... so that's awesome. Elder Jeppson is leaving....so I wont see him for a long time I bet. Lots of people are heading home.... Elder Oliver leaves on Wednesday back home to Utah... he is sad and happy I think.
That was our week! I hope that everything is going good... I love you all!

Bum knee... and lightning capital of the world!

(sorry for the delay....we were on vacation)

 Letter from Monday June 10th
Hey Everybody!

This week has been a downer week... I still am having knee problems and its been crazy. I have been doing the best I can and it still is so hard. I want to do all this stuff but I can't. It has been a trial... and Elder Weston has been telling me that there has to be a reason why this happened ...so I have been wondering why. I may never know...

Anyway...Monday we had a good time. We had a district p-day and we all went ice skating...except me..lol. I watched them and carried all of their stuff. Then we went to 4 Rivers Smokehouse for lunch. It was so good. Later we went to Goldenrod's area and they played Racquetball... I kept score.. lol. After that we went shopping and then we went to see "H & T"..they are doing so good.

Tuesday we got up and I worked out oober hard....it was good.  Then we went to the store to get some supplies for our map book.  We went home and I iced my knee for most of the day. We had dinner with the Anderson's that night and then we went and saw Stroye. We went home and iced my leg more.

Wednesday we got up and Stroye called us and he needed our help. His wife went to Nebraska to get her daughter and all of her stuff that they had in storage. So we helped unload there moving truck (they did I supervised) and we did that for a while. Then Bro. Naughtin (the doctor) asked us if we could go to scouts that night and talk about budgeting... so we did that and helped them understand the importance of it.  Bro. Naughtin checked out my leg again and he called President Hall about it...and by the way we are getting a new President in a week or two. It's going to be crazy... I am going to miss them a lot. Anyway..about my knee...the doctor said I have to stay off of it to let it heal or I may need surgery. Its been so hard and I have been frustrated because I want to work. And I feel bad because I am keeping Elder Weston from working too. It sucks bad.

Thursday we had a Zone Training Meeting which was good... I learned a lot from that. After that we went to Chick-fil-a... that is Elder Weston's tradition to go there after a ZTM. We went to Stroye's later and helped finish up the moving truck. Then we got to go see "H & T" with a member...and that was really good.

Friday we had weekly planning... which was the shortest one that I've had.  Then after we couldn't really do anything... so we went on the computers and read past conference talks.  "H & T" called and wanted to take us to Jeremiahs Ice... so that was a good time.

Saturday we cleaned our apartment... and went on the computers until dinner time. We went to Olive Garden because a member gave us a gift card to use there. After dinner we went to "H & T's" to talk about their baptism this coming Saturday, June 15th... which is so crazy how time is flying by! I am so excited for them!

Sunday was good... we had 5 gators come to church. It was so awesome! We got home after church and we set up appointments for the week. Then we went to Stroye's to teach his 10 yr old daughter... that was cool. His wife wanted me to fix her laptop... and i did.. lol so that was fun.

That was my week... plus A LOT of rain! The Tropical storm was SO AWESOME...so much lightning!! I know now why Florida is the lightning capital of the world... it was so cool!!
I hope that you all have a fantastic week and I love you al!

Please don't call the mission office...and a wedding!

Hey everybody!!! This week has been not the best.....lol

Monday we went with a whole bunch of Elders and played B-ball... we had a great time! But I got injured...and I really messed up my knee. It was swollen and really hard to walk on...so we haven't been able to ride our bikes. We have been having members drive us around.

Tuesday we had District meeting which was good. Then we made lots of calls to set up appointments with out Gators and some non active members. Stroye really helped us big time this week taking us to places. I finally had to called Sister Hall about my knee... and she told me to ice it and to go from there. That night we exchanged... I went to Goldenrod area with Elder Jeppson and that was fun. We worked the best we could but my leg was really a problem.  I did get to try Thai food for the first time and it was pretty good! We exchanged back that night.

Thursday we couldn't do anything cuz of my knee...so we just studied and I iced all day. We did call a couple of people and went to a few appointments.

Friday we had weekly planning... then we had dinner with Stroye. We went to Golden Corral and WOW this one is so much better than home..lol.. they have everything Chinese, Thai, and it doesn't mess with your stomach after!! lol  Later we saw H&T and talked about the wedding which was the next day.

Saturday was the best day of all this week! It was the wedding and it was so awesome!! It worked out so good. I was so happy to see them get married. tMy relationship with them really shows that Heavenly Father does help and change people. It has really has built my testimony to see the change from the beginning with H&T. I love them. It was so cool!! Later I got a call from Sister Hall and she told me to go see a doctor about my knee... but I realized that there was a doctor at the wedding.. Bro. Naughtin... so he looked at it and he got me a leg sleeve and noninflammatory pills. So hopefully this works.. and I told Sister Hall what else the Doctor said to me..and I'm not going to say it cause I know you will FLIP OUT... so.... LOL (and please don't call the Mission Office...lol)

Sunday we had church which was really nice... then we got home and we made more appointments.
I iced my knee more and cleaned the apartment... that was my week! It was an up and down one...and hopefully this week will be better. I hope you all had a good week!! I love you all!
